How to order

  1. Set your store as 1657 Laurier St, Rockland, ON or 1021 St. Laurent Boulevard, Ottawa, ON.
  2. Once you add a grocery item to the cart, you can schedule your pickup day and time or wait until checking out.
  3. You will receive two (2) separate emails – an initial order confirmation email acknowledging receipt of your order, followed by a notification when your order is ready for pickup at the store.
  4. After you receive the pickup notification, head to the store and choose between in store pickup or curbside pickup service.
  5. Please bring your Ready for pickup email with you.

Giant Tiger is now offering customers an Online Grocery Pickup option, in addition to our current Curbside Pickup and Ship to Home options. Shop all your grocery needs including produce, fresh meat, and pantry items. Yes, to checkout using Online Grocery Pickup, you will need to create an account to complete the order online. If you don’t already have an account, create an account and click on NEW SHOPPER.

There is no minimum order value to checkout with Online Grocery Pickup.

Many of our flyer items already have purchase limits in place, which also apply to online orders. For all other grocery items, we limit you to a quantity of 24 units of a single item.

We are not yet able to accommodate same day orders.

From the time you select your pickup slot, you will have 1 hour to complete your order before the slot expires and is available to other customers.

You may place your order up to 7 days in advance of your scheduled pickup.

If an item is not available, it will be removed from your order.

Unfortunately, we are not able to provide order substitutions at this time. We will simply remove the item from your order.

While we appreciate the offer, our staff will not accept tipping. At Giant Tiger, we believe that fast and friendly service is what sets us apart.

Pickup

Once you have placed your scheduled order, you will receive a confirmation that your order has been received. When your order is ready, you will receive a call or email notifying you that your order is ready.

If choosing to pick up your order using our Curbside Pickup service, park in a designated Curbside Pickup parking space and call the number on the sign to notify the store that you have arrived for your pickup.

You can also pick up your order in store. Refer to your Ready for Pickup email for the specific pickup location in your selected store. There will also be signs in store to help direct you to the correct pickup location.

Please be sure to bring your Ready for Pickup email with you so you can quote the Order number.

Please do your best to honour your time slot. We will do our best to accommodate you should you be a little early or late, though this may cause a delay in getting your order out to you. If you miss your time slot, we will make an attempt to contact you to assist in making other arrangements. If we are unable to reach you, Grocery items and Health & Beauty products will be returned to our store shelves at end of that day.

At this time, we will not be charging for plastic or paper bags. You are free to use your own reusable bags, but at time of pick up you will need to transfer the items from the plastic bags.

Pricing and Product Availability

Orders will be picked within a short period before you come to pick it up. Once orders are picked, they will be stored appropriately based on the types of groceries you have ordered.

We do our best to ensure pricing is consistent between stores and the website, however not all coupons or offers are applicable online.

At the time of pickup, should an item in your order be available for a lower price, please visit our customer service desk in the store or customer service team either by phone 1-833-848-4437 or submit a form online and we will refund you the difference.

Payment

We are able to accept the following methods of payment for online grocery orders: MasterCard, VISA, PayPal or VISA debit.

At this time, we are unable to accept coupons through our website.

While your order is being processed, we will pre-authorize the purchase on your method of payment to make sure there are sufficient funds; this will look like a hold on your financial institution’s account. For items being picked up at the store, you will be charged once the items have been picked up. For items being shipped, you will be charged once the item has been shipped.

The charges will appear on your billing statement as: Shopatron.

We are not yet able to accept Giant Tiger gift cards as payment for online orders.

We are not yet able to offer GT VIP offers via Online Grocery Pickup.

Rainchecks are not available for online products, limited quantity, special purchases, clearance items, or online offers, which are available only while supplies last.

Our Ad Match Guarantee means "We will beat the advertised price of any competitor". If you happen to find a local competitor offering a lower price on any identical item we carry, simply show us their current flyer and we will sell you that item for 1 cent less than their price. Why do we do that? Because delivering the most outstanding value for your family budget is our mission, every day. Please refer to our ad match policy.

Here is how you can request our Ad Match Guarantee:

  • For orders placed online, contact our Customer Service team
  • Include your name, order number, and the link to the competitor's website or digital flyer
  • The competitor must have stock in order for us to facilitate an ad match
  • Once the ad match has been processed, you will receive an email with the amount credited back to you
