For the Dough

  • 1 cup lukewarm water
  • 2 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 tbsp granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp quick-rise yeast
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 2 ½ cups of Giant Value all-purpose flour
  • 1 tbsp olive oil
  • 1 egg, beaten

For the Artichoke Dip

  • 2 cup Giant Value shredded mozzarella
  • 1 jar (170 g) marinated artichoke hearts, squeezed of excess liquid and chopped
  • ½ cup Giant Value mayonnaise
  • ½ cup 14% sour cream
  • 2 tsp Giant Value granulated garlic
  • ½ tsp salt

  1. In a large bowl, combine water, olive oil, sugar, yeast and salt; let stand until frothy for about 5 to 10 minutes.
  2. Add flour and mix until dough comes together into a shaggy ball. Transfer to a clean work surface and knead until smooth and elastic for about 10 minutes more.
  3. Press dough into rectangle shape and cut into 30 equal pieces (tip: for accuracy, slice first into 3 long strips, then slice each strip in half and divide each piece into 5 pieces). Roll each piece into a ball.
  1. Drizzle olive oil around perimeter of 12-inch cast iron or an oven-safe skillet. Place the dough balls in a zigzag fashion around the edge. Cover with a damp kitchen towel and place in a warm spot to rise for 1 hour.
  2. Meanwhile, in a bowl, combine mozzarella, artichoke hearts, mayonnaise, sour cream, granulated garlic and salt. Mix well and scrape into the centre of the skillet. Brush dough with a beaten egg.
  3. Bake in 375°F oven until dough is golden brown and the artichoke dip is bubbly for about 30 minutes. Serve immediately.
